Compress PDF online
Reduce PDF file size in your browser. Preserve text with structural optimization or compress scanned pages as JPEG images.
Your PDF stays in this browser. No upload, account or external service is required.
Up to 30 MB and 100 pages. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.
Preserve text optimizes the PDF structure without recompressing existing images. Already optimized PDFs may not shrink.
Image mode replaces every page with a JPEG image. Text will no longer be searchable or selectable; links, bookmarks, layers and other interactive features are not preserved. Forms are not supported in this mode. Review the result before using it.
Any modified PDF may invalidate digital signatures. Keep your original file.

Frequently asked questions
Will the text stay searchable?
Preserve text keeps the existing text. Image mode rasterizes every page and removes searchable and selectable text. It is intended mainly for scanned PDFs.
Why is my PDF not smaller?
Some PDFs already use efficient compression. If a candidate is not smaller, the tool keeps the original bytes and reports zero savings.
